Al Gore, $300 Million
Al Gore was last seen serving in a public office in 2001 when he was the American vice president under President Bill Clinton. At that time, his net worth was said to be around $2.5 million. However, a few good decisions, such as an early investment in Apple, Inc’s stock, have boosted his fortune. In 2020 that stock portfolio was worth between $50-60 million.
Gore was also an active author and environmentalist post his government job. Under his chairmanship, Generation Investment Management earned about $218 million only between 2008 and 2011. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 in an Oslo ceremony.
