John Altman – Nick Cotton In EastEnders
Even before John Altman hit the screens, his family had quite the hype as his maternal grandfather Johnny Schofield had acquired some fame by eating a bat alive on stage. John went on to build his legacy in filming, but that didn’t include any live-animal gimmicks, in case we were wondering.
John began his popularity run when he played a minor character on The First Great Train Robbery. Consequently, BBC’s EastEnders offered John the life-changing role of Nick Cotton on the show, rocketing him to the top. After his acting career, he’s currently focusing on music and even released an album recently, Too Late to Rock and Roll.
