Ted Turner – Price Undisclosed, Tallahassee
As the founder of the Cable News Network (CNN), Ted Turner has provided the world with an immense service. Furthermore, his donation of $1 billion to the UN created the United Nations Foundation. During his journey to becoming a billionaire, Turner purchased a plantation just outside Tullahassee.
His initial purchase was 8K acres, to which he added 25K more acres along the way. Turner, who is the largest individual landowner in the USA, currently has nearly two million acres under his name. Shown above is his 15,000-square-foot Colonial Revival home, which was built in 1938. A natural lake flows behind the residence, and it surely has that ancient touch.
